3D Printer Model Finisher

Overview

Our client, a leader in Medical Device Manufacturing, is seeking a 3D Model Finisher to join their team. As a 3D Model Finisher, you will be part of the Digital Engineering (DE) Department supporting the 3D Printing & Prototyping Team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset.

  8 hours/day, M-F, flexible start times (7:00 am – 9:00 am)

• Work in a 3D Printing lab as a 3D model finisher – these are medical part prototypes
• Post-process 3D printed parts: remove from printer, sand, clean, hand finish

• Local Tempe area candidate who wants to be a technician and grow in that role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Comfortable handling cleaning chemicals and performing hands-on, detailed work; PPE provided
• High School diploma or AS degree at the most; not seeking engineer work or an engineering degree
• Willingness to speak up and ask questions
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
• No prior 3D printing experience required (on-the-job training); 3D printing or 3D design experience (e.g., Solid Works) is a plus

• Line cook in a restaurant or fast-food kitchen
• Someone who builds models (cars, planes, etc.)
• Someone who might have a home 3D printer they tinker with
• Someone with technician or lab experience
