Middle School Teacher​/Coordinator

Overview

Pinnacle Charter Schools is seeking a Middle School Teacher / Coordinator to support students in grades 6–8 within our 100% online instructional model
, delivered in a structured, on-site classroom environment. This role is ideal for an experienced middle or elementary (K–8) educator or school administrator who understands adolescent learners, academic accountability, and the importance of structure. The Middle School Teacher / Coordinator will be based on-site at our Tempe campus, supervising a small cohort of middle school students in person while overseeing online instruction, academic performance monitoring, and progress reporting for all middle school students enrolled in the online program.

This is a fully on-site role. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.

Pinnacle Charter Schools serves a diverse student population through alternative and online education models designed to meet students where they are academically and socially. Our programs emphasize structure, consistency, individualized support, and accountability, particularly for students who have struggled in traditional school settings. While instruction is delivered online, our physical sites play a critical role in providing adult supervision, academic guidance, and a safe, focused learning environment.

• Supervise and support a small group of middle school students (grades 6–8) in an on-site classroom setting
• Oversee online instructional programs for all middle school students, ensuring engagement, pacing, and task completion
• Monitor academic performance, attendance, and progress data across the middle school program
• Maintain accurate and timely performance and progress reports
• Provide academic guidance, redirection, and support as needed
• Communicate regularly with school leadership regarding student progress, trends, and concerns
• Collaborate with academic and student services teams to support student success
• Enforce school expectations related to behavior, attendance, and academic integrity
• Serve as a consistent adult presence and point of accountability for middle school students

• Prior experience as:
  • A middle school or elementary (K–8) teacher, or
  • A school administrator, coordinator, or instructional support role serving grades K–8
• Strong understanding of middle school developmental and academic needs
• Experience working with online or blended learning platforms (or ability to learn quickly)
• Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills
• Ability to manage a structured classroom environment
• Professional judgment and clear communication skills

• Experience working in alternative education settings
• Experience supporting at-risk or academically disengaged students
• Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) or online instructional platforms
• Background in academic intervention or performance monitoring
