Job SummaryWe are seeking an Electrical Training Manager, reporting Director of Learning and Development, who will be responsible for overseeing the Electrical Trainers and administering the Company’s electrical apprenticeship programs. This leader is also responsible for coaching and mentoring our electrical training personnel while ensuring compliance with all industry standards, licensing requirements, and accreditation guidelines while providing a high-quality learning experience for participants as part of Loenbro University.
The Electrical Training Manager will coordinate and manage enrollment, scheduling, recordkeeping, and reporting. In addition, this individual will lead and support the team of instructors, ensuring instructional excellence. The role requires strong collaboration with company leadership, field supervisors, and external training partners to align workforce development goals with organizational needs.
This position plays a key role in preparing apprentices for success in the electrical field by maintaining program integrity, fostering instructor engagement, and driving continuous improvement in training content and delivery.
EssentialJob Responsibilities Program Administration & Compliance
- Manage all aspects of the NCCER Training programs, including enrollment, curriculum scheduling, and class delivery.
- Ensure compliance with NCCER, Department of Labor, and state licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and reporting in accordance with accreditation standards.
- Monitor program performance, outcomes, and student progress, implementing improvements as needed.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development opportunities for instructors.
- Ensure instructional consistency, quality, and adherence to program standards.
- Collaborate with trainers to create schedules and assign instructors to courses based on expertise and availability.
- Serve as a liaison with NCCER representatives, ensuring alignment with program requirements and updates.
- Partner with L&D leadership, project managers, and field supervisors to forecast workforce training needs.
- Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to internal stakeholders.
- Build relationships with apprentices and trainees to support career progression and retention.
- Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and completion rates.
- Recommend and implement program enhancements, new technologies, and instructional methods.
- Stay current with industry best practices, licensing changes, and training standards.
- Support company-wide workforce development initiatives and career pathing.
- Bachelor’s degree in education, workforce development, construction management, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in electrical construction, workforce development, or apprenticeship program management.
