Job DescriptionTITLE: Noon Aide
JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide safety and assistance to children in lunchrooms and school grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS(Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensuring safety of students in lunchrooms and school grounds.
- Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior.
- Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel.
- Respond to emergency situations to address safety concerns.
- Escorting students to and from classrooms.
- Assisting students in lunchroom and/or school grounds.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills, floor, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of District policies and regulations.
- Skill in interacting with students, staff and parents.
- Ability to use equipment such as walkie talkie, brooms, mops or related items.
- Ability to enforce school and/or District rules, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with students, parents and staff.
- Potential physical harm.
- Exposure to outdoor elements.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, or running.
- Push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
- May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Position requires continuous standing and/or walking.
