Change maker Coordinator – ASU Polytechnic

Change maker at Arizona State University (ASU) is seeking a passionate self‑starter who wants to develop student leaders to create social impact. The Change maker Coordinator role operates under the supervision of Change maker Leadership and carries the responsibility of advising and working with student leaders in strategizing, designing, executing, and assessing programs aimed at fostering a vibrant culture of social innovation.

Compensation

Rate: $50,000.00 per year.

Schedule & Travel

Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (flexible scheduling to accommodate evening and weekend hours based on student event programming and operational needs). The position is based at the ASU Polytechnic location and will periodically travel to other ASU locations.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises the Change maker Polytechnic Student Leadership team in strategizing, organizing, executing, and evaluating events and initiatives to cultivate a culture of social impact.
  • Supports the development and implementation of signature university‑wide programs and initiatives, including but not limited to monthly Days of Service, Change the World, Community Action Grants and Devils in Disguise.
  • Advises, mentors, and supports Change maker student leaders involved in Change maker Social Impact programs to cultivate student community, healthfulness, and skill building.
  • Manages the Change maker space, overseeing its operations, maintaining its functionality, and coordinating student schedules to ensure coverage and efficient utilization while fostering an environment conducive to social innovation and collaboration.
  • Develops, expands, and manages a suite of tools and resources accessible to ASU students across campuses to advance their social change ideas.
  • Promotes awareness and participation in Change maker programs and is responsible for the effective dissemination of social impact opportunities via Change maker newsletters and other communication platforms highlighting student stories and community partnerships through social media, ASU News articles, etc.
  • Participates in identifying and applying best practices from peer institutions and organizations to enhance the effectiveness of Change maker's initiatives.
  • Collaborates and regularly communicates with key university‑wide partners to establish and nurture relationships that directly influence the programs and opportunities provided by Change maker.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to fostering welcoming environments within the institution and ensures alignment of program objectives with departmental and institutional priorities.
  • Supports initiatives and events under the Educational Outreach and Student Services (EOSS) division, including Welcome Week, Homecoming Parade, Passport to ASU, and similar events.
  • Represents Change maker in various departmental and university committees. Attends seminars, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on relevant topics.
  • Communicates regularly with community partners related to social change initiatives to develop and maintain programming opportunities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Change maker Leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and three (3) years of related experience; or, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience that has resulted in comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Proven familiarity with social impact programs and methodologies.
