Students are either in-company or self-funded who need to learn a language at their office or their home for work, family or travel reasons. This position is for an English teacher to conduct one-to-one GENERAL English classes for a client in Tempe. The student wishes to complete a 52-hour course, with two-hour classes 5–6 times per week, finishing in about four weeks. Classroom locations can be your office, home or a public place near Tempe, 85281, as long as the trainer can meet the student's schedule.

• Areas of focus:
  Speaking and writing, with additional practice in listening and reading for the Duolingo English Test.
• Duolingo English Test score: ~80. Goal: reach 95 or higher in about four weeks.
• Preferred location: face-to-face lessons near ASU Tempe campus, such as a quiet public place like a library or café; open to lessons at the trainer’s office if close to Tempe.

• Native Chinese or English speaker, or holder of a teaching degree.
• Experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter.
• Valid working visa.
• Residence within 20 miles of client’s location.

Location of the classes and schedule can be flexible based on the trainer and client’s availability. Hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part‑time position; visa sponsorship is not available.
