Description
The Arizona State University’s College of Health Solutions’ (CHS) Medical Laboratory Science Program seeks part-time Faculty Associates to teach courses or provide instructional related support for the Fall 2024 semesters for in-person courses. Through coursework, our degree program in Medical Laboratory Sciences provides students with a well-rounded understanding of concepts in the medical and clinical laboratory areas. The program is seeking to fill positions for Clinical Microbiology and Clinical Chemistry instruction.
These positions are part-time, non‑benefits eligible, semester to semester contracts based on the dates of the sessions/courses assigned. Subsequent semester assignments may be offered at the discretion of the college and university based on teaching performance, student course evaluations, and course availability and enrollment.
Responsibilities for the faculty associate positions include course instruction, laboratory instruction, general course delivery and assessment management, assisting program director with necessary course updates, and having adequate availability for student assistance outside of regular class time.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a related field
- Experience teaching or related professional experience
- Demonstrated ability to work, collaborate, and communicate effectively with diverse students, colleagues, and staff in a multicultural environment
- Working knowledge of the clinical and medical laboratory field or specialty area
- Experience teaching courses in microbiology and chemistry
- Experience using online learning platforms for course instruction
- Experience managing course(s) at the undergraduate or graduate level, including development of course content, lectures, assessments
