Noon Aide
Provide safety and assistance to children in lunchrooms and school grounds.
Qualifications:
- Education equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with and/or supervising children
- State of Arizona Identity Verified (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
- No previous experience required
Essential Functions:
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensuring safety of students in lunchrooms and school grounds
- Counsel and/or intervene with students to ensure acceptable behavior
- Report observations and/or incidents relating to students to appropriate school personnel
- Respond to emergency situations to address safety concerns
- Escorting students to and from classrooms
- Assisting students in lunchroom and/or school grounds
- Perform routine cleaning tasks (clean up spills, floor, etc.)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Other Characteristics:
- Knowledge of District policies and regulations
- Skill in interacting with students, staff and parents
- Ability to use equipment such as walkie talkie, brooms, mops or related items
- Ability to enforce school and/or District rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with students, parents and staff

Physical Effort:
Occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, or running Push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 lbs May be required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and/or crawl Position requires continuous standing and/or walking
