A. Fulton Schools of Engineering Office of Academic and Student Affairs seeks a highly motivated, customer-focused, and detail-oriented professional to serve as Coordinator Senior, 912 Engineering Outreach and Recruitment.
Reporting to the Director of Outreach and Recruitment, this position plays a central role in advancing the Fulton Schools' 912 engagement strategy, with primary responsibility for (1) develop and implement a 9-12 engagement initiative that recruits AZ high school students to the Fulton Schools of Engineering at ASU, (2) overseeing the implementation and expansion of the EPICS High program, (3) co‑leading the FIRST LEGO League (FLL) program as Program Delivery Partner (PDP).
This position is primarily based on the ASU Tempe campus, with occasional travel to the ASU Polytechnic campus, and local 912 partner sites required. Occasional evening, weekend, and limited out‑of‑state travel may be necessary to support expanded outreach and recruitment initiatives.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000 per year; DOE.
Responsibilities- Develops and implements targeted 9-12 engineering outreach and recruitment strategy with Arizona high schools, in collaboration with the eight Fulton Schools of Engineering, creating customized outreach and enrollment strategies aligned with each school's degree undergraduate programs and enrollment goals.
- Represents the Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona high school college and career fairs, actively engaging prospective students, building relationships with school partners, and promoting academic programs to support recruitment and enrollment goals.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes an annual "Fulton Schools of Engineering STEM Teacher and Counselor Workshop" for hundreds of Arizona high school teachers and staff across the ASU Tempe, Polytechnic, and West Valley campuses, delivering hands‑on engineering and science experiences that strengthen educator engagement and expand awareness of Fulton Schools academic pathways.
- Builds and maintains strategic partnerships with Arizona high school districts, educators, counselors, and STEM teachers to expand engineering pathways and strengthen the student pipeline to ASU.
- Facilitates in‑person yielding events in AZ high schools for admitted students to the Fulton Schools of Engineering.
- Leads the implementation, coordination, and expansion of the EPICS High (Engineering Projects in Community Service) program across Arizona high schools - with the goal to recruit participating students to the ASU Fulton Schools of Engineering.
- Leverages the EPICS High program as a strategic recruitment pipeline to engage Arizona high school students, increase awareness of the Fulton Schools of Engineering, and drive prospective student interest and enrollment.
- Co‑serves as Arizona's designated Program Delivery Partner (PDP) and primary liaison to FIRST, providing statewide leadership and oversight for the successful implementation, growth, and daily management of FLL programs. Ensures alignment with FIRST program standards, organizational expectations, and long‑term participation goals.
- Directs all operational and event management functions related to FLL programming, including tournament logistics, registration processes, scheduling, facilities coordination, volunteer and judge recruitment and training, stakeholder communications, and participant support. Ensures the delivery of high‑quality, inclusive, and engaging experiences for students, coaches, volunteers, and community partners.
- Experience and knowledge coordinating or leading FIRST LEGO League (FLL), or similar STEM/robotics programs highly desirable.
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing large‑scale events, including logistics coordination, volunteer management, and on‑site operations.
- Experience working with 912 students, educators, and school districts, including building and sustaining community partnerships.
- Experience in outreach, recruitment, or community engagement within a higher education or nonprofit setting.
- Demonstrated commitment to expanding access to engineering education.
