Job Profile

Outreach Analyst 2 – Outreach Programs, Full time. Annual salary range $50,000–$51,500, depending on experience.

Responsibility Overview
  • Contribute to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with members of the community and the community at large from diverse backgrounds.
  • Advance student experiences to cultivate community, healthfulness, and skill building.
  • Directly advise Graduate Student Government (GSG) and communicate the work of the GSG to other advisors.
  • Work cooperatively with Deans of Students to advance goals and objectives.
  • Support the logistics and operations of University Boards and Committees.
  • Support student‑run processes such as appropriations, bylaws, and training that enhance student experience.
  • Support advising University‑wide teams.
  • Collaborate with the Business Operations Team and Student Organizations team to link Student Government with Clubs and Organizations.
  • Provide strategic planning and leadership for the implementation, delivery, and evaluation of programs and services consistent with university mission and goals.
  • Advise student leaders on assessing student needs and interests; use data, scholarship, and student development theories and models to plan and develop programs and activities.
  • Demonstrate role‑modeling, ethical decision‑making, cultural competency, and responsible management.
  • Represent Student Services at campus and community events, university and off‑campus committees.
  • Coordinate, compile and prepare reports, service measurements, and research efforts.
  • Serve as an interim advisor to other parts of ASASU as needed.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise student employees when required.
  • Serve on university and professional committees as requested.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and three (3) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of student organization and student government advising strategies.
  • Experience advising college/university student organizations.
  • Ability to train students for leadership roles and build strong relationships with staff.
  • Expertise in coordinating and prioritizing tasks and a comprehensive understanding of university policy interpretation.
  • Strong aptitude for establishing and nurturing productive working relationships.
  • Proficiency in budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Organizational skills and ability to implement research initiatives.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team.
