K - 5 Instructional Assistant
Assists the teacher in increasing engaged instructional time for targeted K-5 students.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of experience working either in a school or working with children with special needs, or any combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the duties of the job.
- Experience supervising children required.
- Demonstrated desire to learn new skills and participate in ongoing training; willingness and ability to learn methods for teaching and managing special needs students.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of individuals.
- Valid IVP Level One AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.
Employment Information:
- 26/27 school year; 30 hours per week; 194 days per school year
- Salary:
Band
- Support A11 - $16.53/hour - IA Reading Band
- Support A12 - $18.11/hour - IA Resource Support Salary Schedule
