The Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs serves as a strategic advisor and leader within the District. The position supports the development and implementation of academic operations and services, including oversight of Curriculum and Transfer, Healthcare Education, International Education, Workforce Education, Grants Development and Management, and Academic and Student Systems. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost, the position collaborates with faculty, staff, and administrators on system-wide initiatives related to academic affairs.
Essential Functions
30% - Advises the Provost and key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation and assessment of key priorities, such as strategic scheduling and the academic master plan
30% - Coordinates the development and implementation of District-wide curriculum and academic technology by working with the Faculty Instructional Councils, College Vice Presidents of Academic Affairs, transfer and state partners to implement state and federal compliance mandates around general education, assessment, and completion
20% - Coordinates the development and management of local, state, and federal grants in the areas of Healthcare, Workforce, Innovation, and STEM
10% - Supervises assigned staff, including performance evaluation, hiring, training, and professional development
5% - Prepares and manages budgets, approves expenditures, and ensures resource alignment with institutional priorities
5% - Other duties as assigned
