Empower students through communication and connection! Join Cross Country Education as a Sign Language Interpreter in the Tempe, AZ area and provide one-on-one support that helps students engage confidently in learning and school life throughout the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview:
Provide accurate one-on-one interpreting support for students, ensuring effective communication between students, educators, and peers.
Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, meetings, school events, and student interactions using American Sign Language (ASL) and other appropriate communication methods.
Collaborate with educators and support teams to promote accessibility, student engagement, and academic success.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting an inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Educational Interpreter Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) score of 3.5 or higher required
Completion of a sign language interpreter training program or equivalent education
Active Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
Strong proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with experience interpreting in educational settings
