Job DescriptionTITLE :
Instructional Coach - ELL Compliance & Instruction
JOB DESCRIPTION :
Implement the English Language Learning Program (State SEI Model) to support academic success for English Language Learner (ELL) students. Ensure compliance with state and federal documentation requirements, conduct data analysis, and coach instructional staff on best practices for language learning.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Arizona Elementary or Secondary Teacher certification (required)
- Bilingual, ESL or SEI endorsement (required)
- Three years of classroom experience at the K-8 level teaching English Language Learners (required)
- Experience with ELA academic standards
- Experience collaborating with teachers and administrators
- Background in the theory and practices of the SEI models
- Background in the use of assessments for ELL students
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with peers
- Technologically literate
- Flexible, well-organized, time manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Coordinate staff development to support SEI Model placement, assessment, and the existing requirements of ELLs.
- Work cooperatively with classroom teachers to support ongoing use of second language methodologies for ELLs.
- Work with teachers to use assessment data to effectively impact instruction and student learning.
- Assist the department with SEI Model compliance monitoring and program evaluation.
- Collaborate with the ELL department in planning multicultural staff development and family and community engagement opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
