Instructional Technology Trainer

The instructional technology trainer's mission is to support district teachers, staff and administrators in successfully deploying technology and applications in the implementation of research-based teaching and learning pedagogies. The Instructional Technology Trainer provides ongoing professional development and on-demand training for technology solutions used district wide to support initiatives focused on strengthening staff and students' 21st Century skills and student achievement.

Training and

Experience:

Bachelor's degree, required One to five years of experience in educational technology or informational technology, required One to five years of experience with problem solving, technology troubleshooting and customer service in an education or training environment, strongly preferred Prior experience with instructional design and curriculum development, strongly preferred K-12 classroom teaching experience, strongly preferred Experience utilizing enterprise Learning Management Systems, strongly preferred Project management and planning experience, strongly preferred

Skill In:
Strong verbal, written, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills Writing training materials and manuals Understanding technical language Presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups; deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience Being able to learn new applications with little or no formal training Exercising problem-solving and conflict resolution skills Troubleshooting complex issues with technology Time-management and meeting deadlines along with multiple and changing priorities Customer-service and interpersonal skills
