The instructional technology trainer's mission is to support district teachers, staff and administrators in successfully deploying technology and applications in the implementation of research-based teaching and learning pedagogies. The Instructional Technology Trainer provides ongoing professional development and on-demand training for technology solutions used district wide to support initiatives focused on strengthening staff and students' 21st Century skills and student achievement.
Training And Experience- Bachelor's degree, required
- One to five years of experience in educational technology or informational technology, required
- One to five years of experience with problem solving, technology troubleshooting and customer service in an education or training environment, strongly preferred
- Prior experience with instructional design and curriculum development, strongly preferred
- K-12 classroom teaching experience, strongly preferred
- Experience utilizing enterprise Learning Management Systems, strongly preferred
- Project management and planning experience, strongly preferred
- Strong verbal, written, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
- Writing training materials and manuals
- Understanding technical language
- Presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups; deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience
- Being able to learn new applications with little or no formal training
- Exercising problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
