Work Schedule: 4 days a week (hours varied) up to 19.5 hours per week

Funding Information: This is a grant funded assignment with a projected end date of 06-30-2027 with renewal based on available funds and the needs of MCCCD.

Provides in-person and/or synchronous instruction and supports students' independent computer-assisted learning in High School Equivalency (HSE) content areas including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Civics, Workforce Readiness, Career Training, and Student Success for adults. Develops students' study skills and academic proficiency to earn a high school equivalency diploma and transition to college or career pathways. Follows required curriculum contextualized to local in-demand industries, MCCCD fields of interest, and Arizona Adult Education Standards for instruction.

Utilizes and integrates technology in the classroom to develop students' digital literacy skills. Provides case management support for students, including referring students to appropriate resources, monitoring individual progress and needs, and collaborating with colleagues and support staff to promote student success and retention. Engages in student assessments, progress data review, and attendance record maintenance to guide instruction, retain students, and meet grant program requirements.

Participates in professional learning to maintain Arizona Adult Education Certification.

• 70% - Provides in-person and/or synchronous instruction in High School Equivalency (HSE) content areas including HSE Foundations, English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Civics, Workforce Readiness, Career Training, and Student Success using approved instructional methodologies. Delivers standards-based curriculum aligned to the Arizona Adult Education Content Standards through classroom preparation, curriculum implementation, assessment and/or grading, and meaningful student feedback. Follows all professional teaching standards as outlined in the Arizona Adult Education Teacher Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics.
  
  Incorporates digital literacy and technology integration throughout instruction. Utilizes approved contextualized curriculum, the designated Learning Management System (LMS), and approved proxy platforms to deliver and manage instructional content.
• 10% - Monitors student academic progress through required assessments and ongoing review of student performance. Supports student success by maintaining awareness of career training and postsecondary opportunities, sharing appropriate resources with students, and completing required referral documentation as directed.
• 10% - Maintains accurate attendance, assessment, and instructional records, including synchronous instruction, LMS participation, and other required program documentation to support Arizona Adult Education grant requirements and student retention.
