Our client, a leading aerospace industry organization, is seeking a Materials Engineer Castings Forgings Metallurgy to join their team. As a Materials Engineer Castings Forgings Metallurgy, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting product development and innovation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Tempe, AZ

What's the Job?
  • Provide technical expertise and support in materials and process engineering for cast and/or forged aerospace products.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to develop solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.
  • Participate in all phases of product development, from design to manufacturing, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Engage with suppliers to resolve issues related to materials and processes, including conducting supplier audits when necessary.
  • Support new and existing cast/forged products, including aerospace gas turbine engines used for propulsion and auxiliary power.
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM fields such as Materials Science, Metallurgy, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in materials/process engineering within the casting and/or forging industry.
  • Hands‑on experience with aluminum, steel, titanium, and nickel aerospace alloys.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as Nadcap and aerospace material specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot material and process issues, providing effective technical solutions.
