We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position focuses on estimating commercial and industrial mechanical projects
, including HVAC, piping, and associated systems. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple bids in a fast-paced environment.
- Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial and industrial mechanical projects
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine full project scope
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, piping, and mechanical systems
- Solicit, review, and level vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates
- Identify risks, constructability issues, and value engineering opportunities
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams
- Assist with bid reviews, negotiations, and project handoff
- 3+ years of mechanical estimating experience (commercial/industrial required)
- Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and mechanical construction methods
- Experience with estimating software and Excel (Trimble, FastPIPE, or similar preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Experience in the Phoenix or Southwest market is a plus
- Competitive salary up to $130,000 DOE
