• Under the supervision of senior professionals, design water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection systems, water conveyance systems, booster pump stations, water, and reclaimed wastewater master plans.
• Work with senior professionals to specify and design water treatment processes, piping and pumping systems for municipal applications.
• Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geological data.
• Calculate cost and determine the feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data.
• Prepare cost estimates for various water and wastewater related projects.
• Assist with the preparation and/or modification of reports, specifications, plans, MOPOs, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs.
• Inspect the construction site and assist senior professionals with the oversight of the contractors to monitor progress and ensure conformance with engineering plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Under the supervision of senior professionals, assist with client and progress meetings.
• Develop reports for process design and hydraulic criteria for conventional surface water treatment, adsorption process for groundwater, membrane systems, and residual handling systems.
• Assist with directing construction and maintenance activities at project site.

• At least a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a closely related field.
• Foreign equivalent degree accepted.
• Through bachelors level education, must possess expertise in water system design.
• Full licensure as a professional engineer is not required, as employee will be working at all times under the supervision of an Arizona licensed Professional Engineer.
