OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Product Validation Manager to lead global product validation, certification, and test strategy across Aftermarket and OE programs. This role drives validation execution through a disciplined-aligned model by working with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure complete, accurate, and audit-ready DVP&R coverage aligned to DFMEA inputs. The role is accountable for coordinating all internal and external validation activities, managing ATE and global compliance teams, and serving as the primary interface to OEM customers for all validation-related engagements.
This role reports to Sr Director of Quality.
- Leadership & Validation Management
- Lead and own all product validation activities across electrical, acoustic, mechanical, software, embedded, and full system levels.
- Provide validation leadership across Disciplined-Aligned Test Engineers while ensuring alignment with Quality standards and governance.
- Coordinate validation readiness reviews and ensure alignment with development gates and launch milestones.
- Define and monitor validation KPIs including completeness, timeliness, and accuracy.
- Work directly with Disciplined-Aligned Test Engineers to develop comprehensive DVP&R documents for amplifiers, electronics, infotainment systems, and audio kits.
- Ensure traceability between DFMEA inputs, product requirements, test coverage, and validation results.
- Review, approve, and maintain DVP&R documentation across all programs.
- Drive standardization and consistency across validation plans and execution.
- Develop and manage validation plans and schedules to ensure on-time execution.
- Coordinate all internal validation testing across engineering and lab resources.
- Coordinate all external validation activities through certified test laboratories including quoting, scheduling, execution, and reporting.
- Ensure all test setups are prepared including samples, fixtures, harnesses, software, and documentation.
- Ensure all test results are complete, technically sound, and audit-ready.
- Manage internal ATE software and hardware test engineering teams responsible for EOL test systems.
- Ensure alignment between validation coverage and production test strategies.
- Drive readiness of ATE systems to support DV, PV, and production ramp activities.
- Ensure production test systems reflect validated limits and functional expectations.
- Lead all global compliance and certification activities across product categories.
- Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into validation and test requirements.
- Review and approve regulatory documentation including reports, certifications, and technical files.
- Identify compliance risks and drive mitigation plans.
- Serve as primary point of contact for OEM customers on all validation activities.
- Lead validation discussions, technical reviews, and audit responses.
- Communicate validation status, risks, and mitigation plans to customers and leadership.
- Define and maintain validation standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Ensure validation processes align with regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Drive continuous improvement in validation efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
- Manage external validation laboratories and key suppliers.
- Conduct audits and capability assessments.
- Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, Systems Engineering, or related field.
