SummaryMechanical Laboratory Technician – Tempe, AZ. Phoenix National Labs in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Mechanical Laboratory Technician to test metals, plastics, rubbers, ceramics, and other materials as well as support nondestructive testing and metallurgical services. This is a permanent position typically working 40-50 hours per week. Local candidates and those willing to relocate to Tempe, AZ, at their own expense are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities- Operating testing machines that determine physical properties and strength of materials
- Preparing test specimens
- Calculating material properties based on test results
- Determining acceptability of test results to job specifications
- Preparing reports
