The Lead Engineer will serve as the technical visionary and primary driver of engineering excellence within our professional, scientific, and technical services organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex engineering projects, ensuring they meet rigorous quality, safety, and performance standards. The Lead Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, clients, and other engineers, to translate business requirements into innovative technical solutions.

By mentoring and guiding engineering staff, the Lead Engineer fosters a culture of continuous improvement, technical growth, and operational efficiency. Ultimately, this position ensures that engineering deliverables align with strategic objectives and contribute to the company’s reputation for technical leadership and client satisfaction across the United States market.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Proven expertise in managing complex engineering projects within the professional, scientific, or technical services industry.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, industry standards, and regulatory compliance applicable to the United States.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead teams and interact with clients and stakeholders.

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification.
• Experience with advanced project management tools and methodologies such as Agile or Lean Six Sigma.
• Familiarity with emerging technologies relevant to the industry, including automation, data analytics, or sustainable engineering practices.
• Demonstrated success in driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within engineering teams.
• Experience with AZ Municipal Clients is preferred.

• Lead the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate engineering solutions that meet client specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, promoting best practices and professional development.
• Conduct thorough reviews of engineering designs, documentation, and processes to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, troubleshoot complex engineering challenges, and implement innovative solutions to optimize project outcomes.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate project status, technical details, and address any concerns or changes in scope.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating emerging technologies and methodologies relevant to the professional, scientific, and technical services sector.
