We are excited to offer a role for a Senior Structural Engineer as part of our Advanced Manufacturing team, focusing on innovative Data Center projects, including new constructions, retrofits, and colocations.
In this dynamic position, you will engage in a wide range of structural engineering tasks, enhancing your expertise in design methods and tools. As a key member of our diverse team, you will collaborate closely with engineers and designers on various capital projects, ensuring seamless coordination of designs with other Jacobs offices both domestically and internationally.
Your contributions will include:- Conducting diverse structural analyses
- Developing computer models for structural designs
- Performing calculations for member designs and foundations, including material take-offs for estimations, and assisting with project schedules

Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 8+ years of substantial experience in structural engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D
- Proficiency in structural analysis software including RISA or STAAD
- Understanding and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other relevant industry codes and standards
- Knowledge of Building Codes
- Skillful use of MS Office suite and MS Teams for effective remote collaboration
- Willingness to travel to client sites (approximately 10% to 20% travel as needed)
Ideally, you will also have:
- Master of Science in Engineering
- Experience with industrial metals projects, particularly casting and rolling operations, or similar heavy industrial experiences
- Proven ability to lead teams to deliver on schedule and budget while meeting quality and client expectations
