Senior HVAC Design Technician

Location: Tempe, AZ (Hybrid – 2 days onsite per week required)

We are seeking a Senior HVAC Design Technician who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

In this role, you will lead the design and development of industrial HVAC and process exhaust systems for advanced facilities. This position is ideal for an experienced designer who can work independently, apply strong technical judgment, and deliver high-quality design solutions.

• Lead the design, layout, and routing of industrial mechanical/HVAC systems
• Develop:
  • P&IDs
  • Plans, sections, and detailed construction drawings
• Execute design work across:
  • Planning
  • Concept development
  • Detailed design phases
• Coordinate with:
  • Clients
  • Contractors
  • Internal engineering and design teams
• Ensure compliance with applicable mechanical codes and standards
• Deliver accurate, high-quality design packages with minimal supervision

• High school diploma or GED
• 8+ years of AutoCAD design experience
• 4+ years of Revit design experience
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical/HVAC design experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Mechanical Codes, especially the International Mechanical Code (IMC)
• Proven ability to work independently and execute design packages

• Experience in complex industrial environments such as:
  • Semiconductor manufacturing
  • Clean rooms
  • Data centers
  • Advanced manufacturing facilities
• Technical or Associate’s degree in a related field
• Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills

• Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite per week in Tempe, AZ
