We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer to join our Tempe, Arizona office.
- Perform detailed structural design, analysis, engineering calculations, and assist in the development of construction drawings and specifications for Water/Wastewater projects.
- Conduct structural investigations and assist in the preparation of reports and cost estimates.
- Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
- Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables.
- Work independently on small projects or assist senior engineers on larger projects.
- Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with Structural emphasis.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Mathcad, TEDDS or similar analytical software.
- Experience with SAP
2000, STAAD or similar finite element software analysis. - Experience with AutoCAD, Revit or similar detailing and drawing production.
- Ability to work in a team environment with studies, detailed design and engineering services during construction for a wide variety of projects.
- Possess analytical and organizational skills to support multiple projects at a time.
- Ability to learn, listen, adapt, and take ownership of work.
- Attention to detail, self‑directed learning, and meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate work with other disciplines and production staff.
- Willingness to try new things and be forward‑thinking, with a creative and innovative approach to engineering.
