ECS Limited is one of the nation’s leading providers of geotechnical, materials testing, environmental and facilities science services, and we’re growing our Arizona presence. We’re looking for a driven, people-first geotechnical engineering leader to take the helm of our Tempe branch.
As a Branch Manager, you will own the full business: from winning new projects and leading multidisciplinary teams to managing the P&L and shaping the culture of a high-performing office. What You’ll Own- Lead and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team delivering geotechnical and construction materials testing projects across the Phoenix metro region
- Manage the full project lifecycle, including team assembly, client delivery, quality control, schedule, and financials, for a diverse portfolio of projects
- Own branch P&L: budgeting, forecasting, resource allocation, and profitability
Drive business development through strategic networking, proposal development, and long-term client relationship management - Perform technical review of engineering designs, drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Champion safety standards, engineering best practices, and quality management across all branch operations
- Hire, develop, and retain top engineering and field talent; build a culture of engagement, professional growth, and high performance
- Represent ECS Limited’s values externally and serve as a visible leader in the Arizona engineering community
- 10+ years of combined technical and management experience in civil or geotechnical engineering
- BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution with geotechnical emphasis
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG); active Arizona licensure
- Proven P&L and budget management experience
- Demonstrated leadership of engineering teams and complex, multi-discipline projects
Strong business development instincts and client relationship skills - Unwavering commitment to safety and engineering excellence
Familiarity with the Arizona/Southwest regional engineering market
- MS in Civil Engineering with geotechnical concentration
- Candidates without current licensure must demonstrate ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire
- Established local client relationships and regional market knowledge
- Experience scaling branch or office operations at a multi-location engineering firm
