Associate Drafting Specialist

Stryker is seeking an Associate Drafting Specialist within our Research & Development team, you'll help bring innovative medical technologies to life. Join a collaborative team where your creativity and precision make a real impact on patient outcomes.

What You Will Do

* Create and update 2D engineering drawings and 3D models in Solid Works in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards and internal guidelines

* Coordinate with design engineers to detail components and assemblies, resolving design issues and ensuring accuracy of design intent

* Review engineering drawings to confirm completeness, compliance with standards, and readiness for release within defined timelines

* Transfer legacy CAD files and drawings from PLM systems into Solid Works PDM, updating formats to current standards and maintaining data integrity

* Operate and maintain in-house tools including 3D printers and 3D scanners to support prototyping and design validation activities

* Build and test simple fixtures and assemblies to support engineering projects and verify design functionality

* Maintain and update CAD templates, drawing standards, and best practices in alignment with internal and industry requirements

* Prioritize assigned work and communicate task status, timelines, and updates to project stakeholders

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

* High School Diploma plus 5+ years relevant work experience or associate degree plus 2+ years relevant work experience.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

* Experience using 3D CAD software in a professional setting.

* Understanding of drafting standards and dimensioning practices.

Preferred Qualifications

* Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

* Previous experience in CAD modeling, assembly creation, drawing development, and product data management using Solid Works.

* Associate's degree or higher in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related discipline.

* Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional (GDTP) certification.

* Solid Works Professional (CSWP) or Solid Works Expert (CSWE) certification.
* $31.92 - $44.88 USD Hourly
