What You Will Do- Create and update 2D engineering drawings and 3D models in Solid Works in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards and internal guidelines
- Coordinate with design engineers to detail components and assemblies, resolving design issues and ensuring accuracy of design intent
- Review engineering drawings to confirm completeness, compliance with standards, and readiness for release within defined timelines
- Transfer legacy CAD files and drawings from PLM systems into Solid Works PDM, updating formats to current standards and maintaining data integrity
- Operate and maintain in-house tools including 3D printers and 3D scanners to support prototyping and design validation activities
- Build and test simple fixtures and assemblies to support engineering projects and verify design functionality
- Maintain and update CAD templates, drawing standards, and best practices in alignment with internal and industry requirements
- Prioritize assigned work and communicate task status, timelines, and updates to project stakeholders
High School Diploma plus 5+ years relevant work experience or associate degree plus 2+ years relevant work experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Experience using 3D CAD software in a professional setting.
Understanding of drafting standards and dimensioning practices.
Preferred Qualifications- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
- Previous experience in CAD modeling, assembly creation, drawing development, and product data management using Solid Works.
- Associate’s degree or higher in Drafting, CAD Technology, or a related discipline.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Professional (GDTP) certification.
- Solid Works Professional (CSWP) or Solid Works Expert (CSWE) certification.
Pay rate will not be below any applicable local minimum wage rates.
- $31.92 - $44.88 USD Hourly
