Senior Test Engineer – Manufacturing Test Systems – Tempe, Arizona (Onsite 4 days/week)
Job SummaryResponsible for supporting and improving manufacturing test systems used in production. Focuses on troubleshooting, repairing electronic test systems and tooling at the component level, identifying root causes, recommending design improvements, managing repairs with stakeholders and suppliers, leading continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing test data for changes, and overseeing validation and deployment (IQ, OQ, PQ) to production sites.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair manufacturing test equipment and test tooling.
- Identify root causes and propose electronic design improvements at the component level.
- Coordinate repair activities with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- Lead continuous improvement projects for test systems and processes.
- Compile test data and define changes required in testing equipment, procedures or manufacturing processes.
- Perform test system validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) and deploy systems to manufacturing sites.
- Design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment.
- Plan and schedule labor, equipment, and resources for testing and evaluation of standard and special devices.
- Set test area parameters and specify required tests for sample and final product testing.
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing test engineering role, or 2+ years with an advanced degree.
- Strong knowledge of electronic test systems and instrumentation.
- Experience with IQ, OQ, PQ validation procedures.
- Ability to analyze test data, troubleshoot failures and recommend design improvements.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience repairing component-level electronics and test tooling.
- Experience with continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of 8 C.F.R. §214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) for foreign Baccalaureate degrees.
