Position: Systems Engineer I-Reliability/System Safety (Relocation Assistance!!)

As a Systems Engineer I‑Reliability/System Safety at Honeywell Aerospace, you will own reliability and system safety for every phase of the system life cycle—from business development through product end‑of‑life. Your work will span disciplines within development teams to drive growth and meet critical business milestones.

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work from the Tempe, AZ site on a hybrid schedule. For the first 90 days, new hires must work 100 % onsite, Monday‑Friday.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authoring and ensuring the development process follows system safety program plans
  • Conducting reliability analysis—allocations to define requirements
  • Performing functional hazard analysis
  • Analyzing failure‑condition requirements
  • Decomposing safety requirements
  • Model‑based development system design
  • Systems integration
  • Predicting reliability throughout the design process
  • Performing failure‑mode, effects, and criticality analysis (FMECA)
  • Validating and verifying safety requirements
  • Conducting aftermarket safety analysis and tracking reliability metrics
  • Customer interaction
  • Coordinating projects within a team or leading a small team of RMSS engineers
  • Travel up to 10 %
  • Relocation support may be provided
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics
We Value
  • Advanced engineering degrees (MS in Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields)
  • Experience or coursework in probability & statistics
  • Experience with systems engineering methodologies and tools, including model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) and requirements management
  • Experience with reliability predictions, reliability testing, FMEA, fault‑tree analysis, CMA, and requirements management
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
