AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continued access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You will help innovate delivery of ICT components, support speed to market, raise standards, and pursue professional growth.

You will work directly with engineers and managers across the company to develop connectivity solutions for the physical layer. You will collaborate on pathway and cabling designs and specifications for construction and permitting, and work with suppliers and manufacturers on product requirements and new technologies.

  • Travel 40+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors at AWS data centers.
Basic Qualifications
  • Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Experience in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance.

  • 5+ years working with fiber optic components, cabling, and interconnect products, technologies, and standards.

  • Professional Engineering (PE) Electrical License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region.
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production.
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
