In this role you lead a Team of 5-10 Process Piping Designers on large water and wastewater treatment facility and other hi-tech projects like semiconductor and related facilities. You will manage process piping designers using Plant 3D, REVIT and similar S/W for process piping submittal and shop-level drawings for fabrication and construction. You will manage people, workflows, model standards, schedules, and provide QA/QC guidance for accuracy, completeness, constructability, clash detection support and resolution using NAVISWORK and similar tools, coordinating models with other disciplines including structural, electrical, architectural, etc.
You will also provide technical guidance for piping layout, routing, supports, interfaces, etc.
This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position in Phoenix, AZ or can be REMOTE for well-qualified candidates who live in the Southwestern USA and are able to work in Phoenix one week/month the first year and then once each quarter year #2 and following. The company will also consider relocation assistance as necessary.
Salary range for this position is $120-$140K plus bonus and profit sharing.
Job Requirements- Eight years+ experience in mechanical or process piping design
- Strong background as an Sr. Piping Designer, Lead Mechanical Designer or related experience in a Lead or Supervisory role (5-10 Piping Designers)
- History of producing and reviewing piping submittal drawings
- Must have a strong understanding of fabrication and installation practices
- Strong understanding of CAD drawing standards and QA/QC practices
- Proficiency of relevant tools including Plant 3D, REVIT, AUTOCAD, NAVISWORKS, or similar
