Supervise day-to-day operations, maintenance, and improvements to the physical infrastructure of the data center. Provide training, expertise, and experience to the Data Center Technicians and Facilities Technicians. Regular, predictable attendance is essential for satisfactory performance.

• Supervise the Data Centre Technicians and the Facilities Technicians.
• Operate and maintain data centre to assure optimal uptime for facilities services (electrical, cooling, etc., measured by Five 9’s).
• Plan and task the CFOps team to comply with all local, state, and federal requirements for fire, health, and Life Safety.
• Provide daily tasks and scheduling for non-critical and critical maintenance.
• Ensure the CFOps team works effectively to achieve goals, reviewing budget, staffing, NPS, efficiency, etc.
• Analyze data centre equipment for maximum effectiveness, safety, cost, longevity, and reliability.
• Conduct in-depth training with the Data Centre Technicians on equipment, PMs, QA, and CFOps procedures/processes.
• Manage and maintain training documentation and provide documentation to HR.
• Maintain maximum efficiency by analyzing operating conditions, recommending new technologies, meeting customer SLA requirements, and improving overall efficiency within budget.
• Work with customers to provide successful installs that exceed expectations.
• Supervise safety and well-being of all CFOps team; manage shift assignments, timekeeping review and approval, and PTO for all assigned technicians.
• Write and review non-critical and critical MOPs, SOPs, SMPs and provide input.
• Supervise the execution of MOPs and ensure thorough completion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Strong background in electrical and mechanical systems design, review, layout, installation, commissioning, and operations.
• Expert knowledge of low voltage systems, including fire, security, and PLCs.
• Expert knowledge of NFPA Electrical, Fire and Life Safety, and building codes; NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25 and compliance issues.
• Expert knowledge in industrial safety best practices (lockout/tag out, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations).
• Experience with data trending/tracking and analysis; ability to rapidly learn and use PC-based critical monitoring systems.
• Strong supervisory and communication skills (written and oral).
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting large commercial and industrial mechanical and electrical systems, including: 12kV switch gear; 480/277 and 208/120 V generation and distribution; diesel generators up to 2MW; static UPS; battery monitoring; PLC and relay logic; power monitoring systems; data centre PDU and management systems; VFDs; cooling systems (centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, water treatment); HVAC equipment; CRAC units;
  Kyoto cooling units; BMS/Industrial PLC systems; diesel generator systems; fuel/oil systems and tanks; NFPA 25 knowledge for sprinklers and pipe systems; chilled/condenser water pumps; domestic water systems and backflow devices.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Ability to train electrical and mechanical teams on systems and procedures.
• Ability to conduct capacity, safety, and code compliance assessments for power and fire systems.
• Ability to operate in a process-driven, team environment and to analyze and solve problems.
• Ability to multi-task multiple projects and maintain attention to detail.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a similar field.

• Solid experience in data centre and/or critical facilities.
• Developing experience managing and motivating critical facilities operations and maintenance teams.

• This position requires onsite work at a data center facility; may include a stipend for using a personal mobile device where applicable.
• Annual base salary range: $108,900 – $155,600.
• Eligible for annual bonus; payout based on individual and company performance.
