Senior Advanced Systems Engineer

• Design, implement and manage complex electromechanical actuation systems
• Analyze and decompose system and component requirements
• Design mechanical systems and integrate component controllers
• Model and analyze electro-mechanical systems and components
• Develop control architectures and designs
• Develop physics-based models and system designs
• Plan and execute root cause and corrective actions
• Perform mechanical systems validation and verification
• Interface technically with customers
• Delegate work effectively to team members
• Work with the Sr. Engineering Program Manager

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
• A minimum of 5 years of engineering systems experience
• Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering degree
• Knowledge of the systems and component development life cycles
• Experience with systems requirement flow down
• Experience with systems requirement V&V
• Experience with DOORs
• Experience developing RCCA plans and execution, with demonstrated results
• Experience developing motor driven actuation systems
• Experience with aircraft ECS component development and system integration
• Experience with implementing control architecture in electronic controller applications
• Experience with Real Time hardware in the loop controller development
• Control theory basics, including block diagram representations, frequency response, gain and phase margins, time constants and interactions
• Systems simulation proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and Excel or other performance modeling software
• Thermodynamics experience
• Fluid dynamics experience
• U.S. Person status: U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected status under asylum or refugee, or ability to obtain an export authorization
• Ability to analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts
• Effective communication
• Ability to work with little supervision and take initiative
• Ability to adapt to project changes
• Ability to manage multiple complicated tasks

Demonstrates expertise in designing and managing electromechanical actuation systems, with a strong foundation in mechanical and aerospace engineering principles. Proficient in systems requirement analysis, validation, and verification, alongside effective communication and project management skills.
