Senior Advanced Project Engineer

As a Senior Advanced Project Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will manage engineering projects that contributes to the delivery and performance of Honeywell Aerospace Tempe product families. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, ensure project milestones are met, and provide factory production design authority and any fielded product investigations.

You will report directly to our Product Support Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Tempe, AZ location on an hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the successful execution of aerospace projects by ensuring engineering activities align with business goals and technical requirements, ultimately enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure product integrity as Design Authority of all Tempe product families
  • Lead end to end project execution for all product support activities
  • Support the design integrity of supplier transitions
  • Lead as a technical liaison to support the R&O and OEM factories in execution
  • Support risk assessment and mitigation activities to maintain project timelines and quality standards
Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 6 or more years of experience in relevant engineering project management within the aerospace industry
  • Knowledge of aerospace engineering principles, and project management
  • Knowledge of MS and experience with aerospace quality standards like AS9100
  • Experience in risk management, problem-solving, and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Maintain technical integrity and engineering intent, exercise independent technical judgement and remain steadfast in sound engineering decisions
WE VALUE
  • Advanced degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers through projects
  • Experience supporting complex aerospace projects with multidisciplinary teams
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and quality assurance in aerospace manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in engineering processes
