MEP Project Engineer

CHASSE Building Team is looking for an MEP Engineer to support our project teams with a primary focus on mechanical systems.

This person will serve as an internal technical resource, helping teams identify, troubleshoot, and resolve MEP issues throughout preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and project closeout. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical engineering background combined with hands-on construction experience.

• Serve as a technical resource for MEP-related questions and challenges across CHASSE projects.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, controls, and other mechanical system issues.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
• Support MEP coordination and constructability reviews.
• Partner with project teams, design engineers, and trade partners to identify and resolve MEP issues.
• Participate in site walks, system startup, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
• Assist project teams with mechanical issues during construction, warranty, and post-project completion.
• Identify lessons learned and help develop MEP best practices for future projects.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
• 2+ years of mechanical, MEP, or construction experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial HVAC and mechanical building systems.
• Construction experience with a general contractor, mechanical contractor, or MEP engineering firm preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
