Role Overview :

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and community-focused Events and Community Engagement Manager to help grow and nurture the rapidly expanding Gamers Guild community. This role centers on designing, planning, and executing non-gaming related events , supporting the Events Manager , and creating meaningful engagement opportunities through a variety of community-driven programs.

You will play a key role in ensuring our community stays active, engaged, and excited—both within our physical location and across the country through digital platforms like Discord.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Design, Plan, coordinate, and Execute non-gaming events and holiday celebrations (e.g., movie nights, trivia contests, art shows, workshops, seasonal festivals).
    • Collaborate with the Events Manager to support larger gaming-focused and hybrid events.
    • Manage event logistics including scheduling, promotions, supplies, and set-up/tear-down operations.
    • Create post-event reports to evaluate success and gather feedback.
  • Community Engagement
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community members through regular interactions both in-person and online.
    • Conduct community survey initiatives to assess interests, satisfaction, and suggestions for improvement.
    • Moderate and maintain a positive environment within our Discord server , including responding to inquiries, enforcing the Code of Conduct, and fostering productive discussion.
    • Drive and manage community initiatives such as:
      • Painting contests
      • T-shirt design competitions
      • Guildkin Program (community member recognition, mentorship programs, or similar)
      • Anniversary Party
      • Quarterly Community Ambassador and CoCC Appreciation Social
      • Charity Outreach Program
  • Program Management
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events, contests, and programs via social media, newsletters, and Discord.
    • Source prizes and incentives for contests and community initiatives.
    • Create and implement recognition systems to celebrate active, helpful, and creative community members.

  • 1–3 years of experience in community management, event coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple important projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience with Discord server management and online community moderation tools.
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and project execution.
  • Passion for gaming culture and community building (gaming knowledge not required but a plus).
  • Strongly prefer local experience and access to groups who may be interested in our space for new events and hosting at North Phoenix.
