Music Celebrations International (MCI) is a high-volume music travel and production agency in Tempe, Arizona that offers services to performing arts organizations that travel domestically and internationally. Overview:
The Performance Specialist’s primary duty is to organize all artistic and logistical details necessary to produce performances, concerts, and festivals worldwide for touring bands, choirs, and orchestras. The position interacts with other MCI Associates and satisfactorily serves the client (artistic directors, conductors, and/or tour coordinators of music ensembles) to identify performance goals, and organize appropriate venues such as festivals, parades, and custom performance experiences.
MCI’s client base is mostly school, church, community-based, and semi-professional music ensembles. Additionally, the Performance Specialist maintains strong vendor relationships that promote client satisfaction and repeat business.

Primary Responsibilities: (includes, but is not limited to)
- Organize concerts for traveling ensembles, domestically and internationally
- Maintain constant communication with the client to meet their musical and educational goals
- Select, develop, and organize concert venues appropriate to the client’s budget
- Provide additional services such as arranging for instrument rentals, hiring clinicians, and requesting park permits
- Educate the client on performance practices as deemed necessary by the performance venue
- Constantly interact with other MCI Associates to develop and maintain the best practices in the industry
Skills and
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service skills; must provide clients outstanding customer service and value at every touch point, either on the phone, Zoom calls, via email, or in-person
- Strong background in music with experience in band, choir, and/or orchestra
- Skilled at event planning
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and strong multi-task skills
- Can prioritize tasks with high attention to deadlines
- Timely in responding to all forms of correspondence
- Proficient with communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Capable of developing and maintaining accurate budgets
- Ability to work cohesively with internal departments within MCI as a team player
- Active listener, problem solver, and self-starter
- Proactively responds to high-stress situations
- Prior travel industry experience is welcomed but not essential
Hours: This is a full-time position, 40-hour week, Monday through Friday
Start Date: Immediate start; the position is open until filled

Our Operations Specialists are responsible for operating and coordinating logistics – hotels, meals, airfare/bus and other group activities pertinent to client’s itinerary.
Operations Specialists serve customers by providing product information, logistical planning, and tour/festival details. The primary role is to build and maintain strong vendor and client relationships that encourage client satisfaction and repeat business.
