We’re partnering with a wealth management company that’s looking for a Trading Manager to lead a key area of their Trading Operations team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the independent broker‑dealer environment, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and knows how to build a high‑performing team.
What You’ll Do- Lead and support the Trading Operations team, ensuring accuracy, service quality, and compliance.
- Oversee daily trading processes such as trade support, corrections, restricted stock, alternative investments, collateral reviews, and tool training.
- Work closely with senior operations and compliance leaders to stay aligned with industry rules and implement required updates.
- Coach and develop team members, set expectations, and drive a culture of accountability and consistency.
- Review current workflows and recommend improvements that increase efficiency.
- Support financial professionals by answering questions, resolving escalated issues, and helping them get the most out of the platform.
- Identify training needs and help create training materials for advisors and internal teams.
- Represent Trading Operations during onboarding sessions for new financial professionals.
- Perform root‑cause analysis and put long‑term fixes in place.
- Contribute to firm‑wide initiatives and collaborate with leadership on operational goals.
- Occasionally attend industry or partner events.
- Handle other responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of industry experience.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience is helpful.
- Strong understanding of alternative investments and securities‑backed lending.
- Confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, solve problems, and support a fast‑paced team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience coaching and motivating employees.
- Series 7 & 63 or 66 – highly preferred.
- Series 24 – Preferred.
- Series 4 and Series 53 within one year of hire.
