Job Overview
The Advice & Planning Research (APR) Associate Analyst II is responsible for supporting other team members in conducting fundamental research for the advice and guidance of financial planning and financial fulfillment topics. They also maintain the integrity of existing advice and guidance by updating reports, and are largely responsible for increasing their expertise in financial planning topics. Activities include gathering and organizing data;
conducting fundamental analysis with significant oversight from a Senior Strategist, Strategist, or Sr. Analyst; and updating strategy reports and other published articles.
- Subject matter expertise & decision-making: Responsible for building a foundational knowledge of financial planning concepts and strategies. Supports the development and maintenance of the firm's financial planning advice and guidance while also building knowledge of it.
- Analysis: Responsible for conducting research (with direction and oversight) on well-scoped projects for straightforward topics, which may include qualitative and quantitative research and analysis; validating and challenging existing advice and guidance; and revising reports and other resources communicating the firm's advice and guidance.
- Communications: Responsible for communicating their team's advice and guidance accurately, primarily through written channels such as strategy reports and articles.
- Works in partnership: Responsible for effectively collaborating with other analysts/strategists to support team and department objectives.
- This is not a client-facing position, and it is not expected to consult on client-specific situations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
Knowledge Requirements:
- Foundational knowledge of financial planning concepts and strategies.
- Some familiarity with our firm's investment philosophy.

Licenses/Certifications:
- CFP required or attainable within 18 months of hire
- SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 required or attainable within 6 months of hire
