Risk Manager/Analyst, Financial Compliance, Financial Analyst
Selected candidate will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and remote one day.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with financial risk business teams to understand how risk is managed and consumed.
- Document and clarify financial risk data definitions, business rules, and ownership.
- Support data quality and issue management activities.
- Ask thoughtful questions to identify gaps, inconsistencies, control breaks, or unclear financial risk processes.
- Prepare clear summaries, presentations, and documentation for business teams and leadership audiences (e.g., data issue themes, operational impacts, remediation status).
- Learn and apply data governance standards, policies, and best practices.
Minimum of 2+ years of banking experience in market risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, or liquidity risk functions. Comfortable working with business stakeholders to define requirements, document processes, and support issue remediation that improves data quality and controls.
Key Skills- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain financial risk concepts and data requirements clearly.
- Curiosity and willingness to ask questions to validate assumptions, reconcile variances, and surface risk data issues early.
- Experience across key financial risk areas such as value-at-risk and limit monitoring, risk reporting, stress testing/scenario analysis, repricing dates, index, margin/spread, balances, and cash‑flow schedules.
- Ability to organize and document complex information (policies, procedures, data definitions, and controls) with strong attention to detail.
- Comfort presenting concise updates (issues, impacts, decisions needed) to small groups and senior stakeholders.
- Ability to work with different teams and perspectives.
- Intermediate data analysis skills with Microsoft Excel.
- Exposure to data governance.
- Intermediate data analysis experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Not a developer or engineering role.
- Not a reporting or dashboard building role.
- No coding, advanced SQL, or technical skills required.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Compensation and BenefitsTypical base pay range is $78,000–$106,000 depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Eligible for discretionary performance‑based bonuses and/or incentive compensation.
