2nd Lien Recovery Consultant; On-Site

The 2nd Lien Recovery Consultant is responsible for locating and contacting homeowners across the country to collect on charged off unsecured and secured mortgage debt.

• Negotiate repayments on defaulted mortgage debt.
• Re-establish and maintain communication with customers to minimize company loss.
• Achieve numeric standards and goals for servicing accounts without sacrificing quality of service while adhering to state and federal (FDCPA/CFPB) guidelines and representing the company professionally.
• Contact borrowers to cure delinquency, set up payment arrangements.
• Identify and recommend optimal workout strategies as necessary.
• Utilize available skip tracing tools to locate borrowers whose contact information is inaccurate.
• Ensure all calls and loss mitigation efforts are compliant with company policies and procedures.
• Use manual and dialer strategies to contact delinquent homeowners.
• Address homeowner questions or concerns and provide complete responses.
• Handle escalated files appropriately.
• Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
• Review and maintain personal negotiating worklist.
• Analyze and underwrite borrower’s income through review of documents (financial statements, tax returns, credit reports) to recommend feasible solutions.
• Use delegated authority tool and work with client matrices regarding workout strategies.
• Perform related duties as assigned by management.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent, required.
• 2‑4 years experience within collections and loss mitigation.

• Familiarity with tracking databases and navigating the internet.
• Familiarity with loan terminology, rights, and processes.
• Excellent work ethic, high productivity, acute attention to detail.
• Strong numeric aptitude, problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Persuasive and professional communication skills.
• Strong work ethic.
• Able to effectively and accurately convey information to others.

• Work on‑site at assigned office location.
• Regular and punctual attendance, adhering to a schedule established by leadership.
• Flexibility to work occasional adjusted schedules, overtime, evenings, and/or weekends as needed.
• Work in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of others.
• Sedentary work in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
• Constant repetitive computer and phone use.
