Senior Mortgage Consultant
Position in Morgan Stanley Private Bank, National Association (MSPBNA), division of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. You will use industry knowledge to provide excellent client experience to Financial Advisors and their wealth management clients throughout the home loans mortgage origination cycle.
Location:
Dallas, TX or Tempe, AZ.
- Form deep working relationships with Financial Advisors and Personal Bankers and assist in providing expert advice and problem‑solving skills to meet client mortgage needs.
- Work as part of a team assigned to a Complex/Branch level coverage and grow market share through business referrals.
- Provide the best rate execution and proper product selection for clients.
- Act as the “face” of the business by owning the client experience up to and including loan registration, following up on referrals and completing accurate and compliant mortgage applications.
- Work directly with Private Bankers (Field Sales) to help reach complex/branch growth targets.
- Maintain and follow up on a pipeline of client referrals.
- Analyze financial information to assess client and property eligibility for lending solutions.
- Participate in partner events and office activities that promote the Home Loan team.
- Partner with Mortgage Specialist Team to ensure seamless transfer of loan applications when the intent to proceed is received.
- Manage inbound/outbound queue, multiple call campaigns, and bank initiatives with intense client follow‑up.
- Know laws and regulations that govern consumer lending, including fair lending, privacy, RESPA, and TRID.
- Obtain documents to satisfy underwriting conditions and negotiate product/pricing as needed.
- Provide feedback on client experience enhancements and process efficiencies.
- 4–8 years of relevant private wealth experience (Sales and/or Operations preferred).
- Experience in client relationship management roles.
- Track record of developing and maintaining client relationships in a sales or operational setting.
- Proven ability to meet production goals while managing ongoing communication with a large client base.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Eligible for employment with an FDIC‑insured institution and able to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) as a mortgage loan originator.
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage products and client service experience.
- In‑depth knowledge of compliance regulations and laws governing consumer mortgage lending (fair lending, privacy, RESPA, TRID).
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑starter with ownership mindset; able to manage time, prioritize, and plan.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and other reporting systems.
- Achieve high client and financial advisor satisfaction.
- Proactively manage loan escalations and provide enhanced client experience.
- Effectively manage a pipeline of client and/or employee loan transactions.
