Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; some evenings and weekends may be required.
Work Calendar: 12 months
Funding:
Grant funded assignment with a projected end date of 12-31-2026 with renewal based on available funds and the needs of MCCCD.
Work includes researching and developing proposals and applications as well as analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on performance requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance and identifying and managing funding alternatives. This position works in conjunction with other staff across the Division of Public Service (DPS) to identify and implement grant funded opportunities, including both public and private funding sources such as local and national foundations to government and federal funding.
EssentialFunctions
- 40% Develop proposals and grant submissions.
- 20% Researches and cultivates grant funding opportunities.
- 20% Monitors progress, develops a detailed tracking system and submits required reports to funders.
- 10% Builds collaborative relationships with internal departments, external agencies, and funding organizations.
- 10% Develops and monitors grant budgets and financial reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in accounting, finance, business administration or related field and four years of grants administration experience such as the research, design, and development of grant proposals, monitoring of funds distribution and compliance related experience.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
Desired Qualifications- A. Bachelor's degree.
- B. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written with an ability to present written information in a concise and persuasive format. (Writing sample required. Must be submitted by close of business of the Final date to receive applications attached with your application)
- C. Grant writing certification.
- D. One (1) year of Full-time relevant MCCCD experience during the previous two (2) years.

Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense. Will be required to travel or be assigned to all MCCCD locations. May require numerous evenings or weekends. May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen. May be required to lift or carry up to 25 lbs. Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D Driver's License is required;
employee must meet district minimum standards regarding driving.
