The Corporate Banking Middle Office Analyst, Flood Insurance & Post-Boarding Operations, is responsible for supporting operational activities related to the Corporate Banking business's compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) and the Borrower-in-Custody (BIC) collateral pledge program. This role focuses on monitoring, reporting, documentation review, and regulatory compliance to ensure all required approvals, agreements, and supporting documents are completed accurately and in accordance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

The analyst partners closely with Portfolio Managers, Customer Service teams, and other stakeholders to maintain credit file integrity, mitigate operational and reputational risk, and support the bank's liquidity and collateral management objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with Front Office and Middle Office teams to ensure the accurate and timely processing of requests.
  • Prepare and complete flood approval packages for MIRE (Make, Increase, Renew, Extend) events.
  • Support the Borrower-in-Custody (BIC) collateral pledge program with the Federal Reserve Bank of New York to enhance collateral eligibility and maximize bank liquidity.
  • Monitor and support compliance with the Flood Disaster Protection Act (FDPA) and applicable federal regulations.
  • Identify, analyze, and escalate issues related to FDPA compliance and BIC pledging to ensure timely resolution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational enhancements.
  • Maintain a strong control environment by ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established standards.
  • Adhere to internal service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain high-quality credit files and support readiness for internal audits, regulatory reviews, and external examinations.
  • Review and manage pending and deficiency reports, monitoring the timely receipt of required documentation.
  • Conduct document retention, archiving, and destruction activities in accordance with Records and Information Management (RIM) policies.
  • Respond to ad hoc inquiries from Front Office teams, the Agency Desk, and Reporting groups regarding the intake, maintenance, and release of executed credit and non-credit documentation.
  • Maintain records of UCC financing statements, monitor upcoming expirations and lapsed filings, and notify business partners of any required actions.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and bank policies.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of commercial credit facilities, deposits, credit documentation, corporate legal documentation, and deal structures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions independently.
  • Demonstrated professionalism and a client-focused mindset characterized by accountability, responsiveness, and reliability.
  • Ability to interpret information, exercise judgment, and resolve exceptions efficiently and accurately.
  • Quick learner with the ability to research issues independently and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across business lines and effectively communicate with all levels of management.
  • Ability to prioritize competing responsibilities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of syndicated loan, commercial banking, loan operations, or related financial services experience preferred.
