CFO in Training

CFO in Training Aurora Behavioral Health Care has developed an exciting program to harness and develop talent for future financial executive positions within our behavioral health hospitals. The CFO in Training program is a great opportunity if you are a strong leader and have the passion to be a successful CFO in a hospital. Chosen candidates will be placed at Aurora Behavioral Health System-West (Glendale) or Aurora Behavioral Health System-East to work closely under the guidance of the Chief Financial Officer.

During the training period candidates will focus on key areas of the business, gaining expertise in the accounting and finance functions along with managing and creating a successful team. Candidates should possess excellent technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills. The knowledge you gain during this process from interactions and real-life work examples will help lay the groundwork for becoming a Financial Executive within our Aurora Behavioral Health (ABH) Hospitals.

The selected candidate must be able to relocate to one of our ABH hospitals upon completion of the training program.

The CFO in Training is an employed position- not an internship. Our facility CFOs are responsible for the overall financial administration of our behavioral healthcare facility developing strategies and objectives geared to improving economic performance of the hospital.

Job Requirements #INDHIGHBachelor of Science in accounting, economics, finance, or business administration or master's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration preferred.

Previous experience in hospital financial management or significant public accounting experience specifically related to the healthcare industry is a plus.

Experience in an area of finance and accounting preferred:
Accounts Payable, payroll, accounting, FTE management, business office (Accounts Receivable/revenue cycle), financial reporting, budgeting etc.
*** Once the CFO in Training Program is completed at the Aurora Behavioral Health location, in Glendale and in Tempe, Arizona, candidate will need to be willing to relocate to another hospital.
