Safe House Wellness & Health is a growing behavioral health organization dedicated to providing high-quality mental health and substance abuse services. We are seeking motivated students and aspiring healthcare professionals who want real-world experience in a clinical setting while making a meaningful impact in the lives of others.

The Behavioral Health Intern will work alongside licensed clinicians, case managers, and behavioral health professionals to gain hands-on experience in outpatient mental health services. This internship provides exposure to client care, treatment planning, documentation, and healthcare operations.

• Observe and assist licensed clinicians during client interactions.
• Support case management and care coordination.
• Assist with intake paperwork and client documentation.
• Help maintain accurate electronic health records.
• Participate in treatment team meetings.
• Assist with wellness groups and educational workshops.
• Provide administrative support as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.
• Complete special projects assigned by supervisors.

• Currently enrolled in a Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Behavioral Health, Human Services, Nursing, or related degree program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional demeanor and willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
• Background check required.

• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but not required).
• Previous volunteer or healthcare experience.

• Hands-on experience in behavioral healthcare.
• Clinical mentorship from experienced professionals.
• Exposure to case management, counseling, and healthcare operations.
• Opportunity to receive academic internship credit (if applicable).
• Letter of recommendation based on performance.
• Potential pathway to future employment.

Flexible based on school requirements. 10-40 hours per week.
