Sign‑on bonus: $1000 for new employees.
Role OverviewWe are seeking caring individuals to assist others as a Direct Support Professional. The role involves providing care services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, guiding community integration, and ensuring the health, safety, and well‑being of residents.
Responsibilities- Provide personal care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Guide community integration and inclusion efforts for participants, families, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and facilitate opportunities for residents to participate in community activities.
- Maintain proper supervision and ensure the safety and well‑being of residents in the facility.
- Prepare and complete required paperwork and documentation within contractual timelines.
- Use computers and electronic record‑keeping systems effectively.
- Complete mandatory certifications and trainings, including First Aid, CPR, Article 9, Medication, and Prevention/Support.
- Work nights, weekends, holidays, and maintain a varied weekly schedule as needed.

- High School diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, MVD report, and reliable transportation
- Ability to prepare required paperwork to support and document activities within contractually required timelines
- Typing skills and working knowledge of computers and electronic clinical record keeping
- Ability to complete certification and training for First Aid, CPR, Article 9, Medication, Prevention/Support, Direct Care Worker, and any other required training (training will be provided if not already possessed)
- Ability to operate independently with minimal oversight
- Demonstrated skills to ensure respectful communication with participants and coworkers
- Must obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check along with Central Registry Clearance
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and a varied schedule each week
- Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Sign Language
- Prior experience in habilitation or rehabilitation
- Two years of experience in a person‑centered community integration program assisting persons with developmental and/or psychiatric disabilities
- Two years of experience in habilitation/rehabilitative assistance to persons with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities
- Very strong interpersonal skills
