Audiologist

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, patient-focused Audiologist to join our busy ENT practice. The Audiologist will provide comprehensive diagnostic audio logic evaluations, hearing aid services, counseling, and rehabilitative care for pediatric and adult patients.

General Accountabilities

• Administer hearing tests and examines patients to collect information on type and degree of impairment.
• Evaluates hearing and balance disorders to determine diagnoses and courses of treatment.
• Maintains patient records at all stages, including initial and subsequent evaluation and treatment activities.
• Fits, dispenses, and repairs assistive devices, such as hearing aids.
• Plans and conducts treatment programs for patients' hearing or balance problems, consulting the necessary health care personnel as needed.
• Counsels and instructs patients and their families in techniques to improve hearing and communication related to hearing loss.
• Monitors patients' progress and provides ongoing observation of hearing or balance status.
• Instructs patients in communication strategies to maximize effective receptive communication.
• Recommends assistive devices according to patients' needs or nature of impairments.
• Refers patients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
• Programs and monitors cochlear implants to fit the needs of patients.
• Develops and supervises hearing screening programs.
• Examines and cleans patients' ear canals.
